The hot pot is very popular in Taiwan,especially in winter.There are many kind of flavor you can choose.For example:spicy,curry ,herbal,kimchi,tomato etc... You can choose twin-side(It means you can choice two kinds different soup),triplet-side(It means you can choose three kinds different soup)or only one flavor.In the picture ,it called BENZ hot pod. Because the form looks like a Mercedes BENZ car's mark!!

What is Halloween? Tonight there is a Halloween party in Eager House, and students will wear costumes and dance, and have fun!

You should understand these words: pumpkin, jack-o-lantern, ghost, witch, trick-or-treating, bobbing for apples, candy corn, scary, bat, vampire, boo!

Halloween is very, very old, thousands of years old, and it came from Europe to the U.S. But the way we celebrate it here is special. I think only Americans love to dress in costumes, (even adults,) and make jack-o-lanterns, and decorate their houses, and dance to some special Halloween songs!

DIVERSITY

America has a diverse population- the meaning of "diverse" is different, mixed, a combination of many different types of people. We have white people and black people, Asians, Spanish-speaking people, different religions and many different ideas about life. We don't agree with each other, and we often argue about these things. You can see a TV show that has bad language and sex, and some people love it, and some Americans hate it, and try to remove it from the TV!

But basically Americans think that this diversity makes us stronger as a country. We benefit from the the strengths of the different groups, and we learn from each other.
